With a background in senior management in producing theatres, Ros was also Regional Director of the Arts Council in the West Midlands. Since leaving the Arts Council Ros has worked as an Interim Director and as a consultant, acting as an advisor and mentor to arts organisations nationally and in the West Midlands, specialising in organisational development and change management.
Ros has been a supporter of Pentabus over many years and joined the Board of trustees a year ago 'I am delighted to have been appointed as Chair of the board of Pentabus and look forward to working with the Board, the executive and the staff team to build on the company's prestigious 40 year history. Under the current leadership the company is strengthening its reputation as the country's rural theatre company - touring brilliant new plays that reflect the voices and concerns of people living in remote communities'.
Ros takes over the Chair role from Diane Lenan, who has led the company over the past three years. During that time the company has toured more widely than ever before and diversified its income considerably, with strong backing from a number of Trusts and Foundations. Diane will remain on the Board. Kitty Ross, Managing Director at Pentabus, expressed the company’s delight at the new appointment: ‘We feel very lucky to go from having Diane’s terrific support straight into a new relationship with Ros, who we know will help us move forward into the next phase of the company’s development with sure-footed guidance.’
