We are nation’s rural theatre company. We make plays which stir the imagination and speak to the soul of the countryside. We tour nationwide telling stories with local relevance and national impact.
We are passionate about bringing quality professional theatre and dynamic educational opportunities to isolated rural communities. Last year we were able to reach 15,000 audience members and hundreds of young people with our work. Our plans for the future are to expand our reach to ensure we tour the length and breadth of the UK.
Ticket sales and public subsidy alone are not enough to pay for the broad spectrum of our work. Support from sponsors, individual donors and trusts and foundations help us deliver more arts projects in new ways for the local community and beyond. We depend on the generosity our supporters to safeguard the future of these projects.
Pentabus is one of only a handful of theatre companies that is over 40 years old. We have a strong track record of delivering brilliant theatre to people who wouldn't otherwise have access to it. We are also a registered charity and we reinvest any surpluses back into the company to ensure we continue to change the lives of rural communities across the UK.
