Daria Vasko
Daria is a theatre and film designer. She completed her Master’s degree in Scenography at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama; a BA in Design for Theatre, Film and Performance and graduated as a Theatre Set Designer from The College of Music and Theatre Arts at Moscow. She started her work experience at The Bolshoi and Stanislavsky Nemirovich-Danchenko theatres as a scenic painter. Her previous collaborations include: Illustrator for ‘Boris Godunov’ at La Scala, designed by Es Devlin Studio; Design assistant on ‘Much Ado About Nothing’ at Shakespeare’s Globe; ‘The Pearl Fisher’ and ‘Requiem’ for Opera North. Model maker for ‘Giselle’ at the National Ballet of Japan; ‘Marx in London’ for Scottish Opera; ‘Don Giovanni’ for Santa Fe Opera. Puppet maker on ‘Life of Pi’ at Crucible Theatre and West End; Chichester Theatre Festival; Shademakers for Leeds Castle Carnival. Designer of the performances ‘Female Morph’ at RSSD; ‘fester’ and ‘A man and a washing machine’ as part of Camden Fringe festival; ‘fester 2.0’; ‘Languageist’, ‘Overtones’; ‘A heart of the Dog’.
