Fransesca Spickernell

Fran is a fundraising professional and current Head of Trusts and Corporate Philanthropy at the University of Liverpool where she works on transformational giving for research, major capital projects, and widening participation in higher education.

Prior to this she read English Literature at Durham and UCL respectively before enjoying 18 years as an Arts Administrator working in London (at the Serpentine and National Portrait Galleries), Ludlow (Pentabus, where she was Managing Director), Birmingham (CBSO), and Manchester (Aviva Studios at Factory International). She is Shropshire born and bred and moved back to the county in 2014. She is passionate about new writing, theatre, poetry, and spending time in the beautiful Shropshire countryside with her friends and young family.
