Gbolahan Lekan Obisesan
Born in Nigeria and moved to South East London when he was 9 years old. He is a writer and director and commissioned by the National Theatre to develop a new play entitled Ubuntu for the Cottesloe Theatre. He was the recipient of the Bulldog Princep Directors Bursary 2008 - 2009 at the National Theatre Studio and the 2009 Jerwood Award at the Young Vic Theatre for which he directed the critially acclaimed SUS. Writing credits inc: Regeneration, Deconstructing the Barack, Home and Hold it up. His short play Mad About The Boy will be showcased as part of the Tran.form festival at the West Yorkshire Playhouse in June 2011.
