SubpostmasterIf we knew that this was going to happen to us, that we were going to become criminals by buying a Post Office, we would never, ever have done it.

Over twenty years a silent tragedy has unfolded in the heart of our communities. Entirely innocent subpostmasters had their lives torn apart and faced bankruptcy, isolation, and jail for crimes that were never committed, for debts that never existed.
Directly informed by conversations with affected subpostmasters, Make Good dives into this most local of stories, capturing the raw emotions, the bewilderment and the unbreakable bond of faith and family that were put to the test. Experience the astonishing resilience of entire communities as lives were destroyed in a scandal that isn’t over yet...
A new musical three years in the making that tells the story of the Post Office Scandal, now recognised as one of the gravest miscarriages of justice in British history.
SubpostmasterThe musical is full of feeling. And that’s what we need to portray to people now, so that they can feel and understand what we felt, all the heartache that we went through. The songs bring so much to the story, they’re heartfelt and there’s humour in it too, it’s funny. It made me smile as well as being touching.

Helping Subpostmasters rebuild their lives
Chris Trousdale - affected SubpostmasterFull of emotion, the true but tragic story of the victims of the Post Office scandal is laid bare in this excellent telling of a now infamous story. The trauma of our story is cut with the right amount of humour and you really do get carried through the emotional highs and lows of the show in a beautifully caring and choreographed way.
Chris Trousdale - affected SubpostmasterYou cannot fail to see the years of dedicated research and understanding Jeanie has put in to the writing this play, it comes through in the most subtle ways that does real justice to the stories of the victims and the ways in which our lives are still effected on a day to day basis. It highlights some of the current challenges victims are facing whilst still fighting for redress.
Chris Trousdale - affected SubpostmasterWhat I am most impressed by is that Make Good will primarily be performed in community venues, taking the story full circle back to the communities directly or indirectly effected by this national scandal. I hope it will have a restorative feeling, to let those victims know that communities all over the UK are standing beside them, and will stand beside them for as long as it takes for them to see real justice.
Chris Trousdale - affected SubpostmasterI am so impressed by the casting, the actors truly thrive on the writing of Jeanie O'Hare and lyrics of Jim Fortune, and hearing the singing talent of the cast alongside the warmth of the community choirs and skill of the music team will make this show resonate in your soul.
