Over the last 18 months Pentabus has worked with more young writers than ever before. Each writer has been encouraged to tell the stories that are important to them.
Our local group started with skills sessions leading to the drafting of a stage play. With the pandemic hitting during their writing process the group began to explore the form of writing for audio. With additional professional support the writers have created five new audio dramas.
Some people may find the content of our Young Writer's work challenging to engage with. The work contains strong language and is not suitable for children. Pentabus’ ground-breaking Young Writers Programme offers free playwriting workshops for young people aged 16-25 with professional playwrights, actors, directors, producers and designers, culminating in professionally produced work.
